Nothing beats the flavor of fresh salsa on a hot summer day. Whether it’s Margarita Monday or Taco Tuesday (or some other Tex-Mex cuisine-inspired day of your liking), fresh salsa adds the perfect finishing flavor. And just look at the versatility of it! It’s a dip. It’s a dressing. It’s a garnish. It’s a topping. It can be dressed up for a fancy cocktail party or brought to a family picnic at the lake.
Here in the South, you’re pretty much guaranteed to have chips and salsa on standby as an appetizer for lunch (or dinner) or at a church potluck (or for the big game). Basically any festivity you have around here, chips and salsa are one of the things that is going to make an appearance.
We’ve been making this particular fresh salsa recipe for years for family gatherings, board game nights, or any time we have a hankering for some fresh chips and salsa. It’s simple, it’s quick, and it’s inexpensive to put together. In fact, you probably already have most of the ingredients in your fridge. The addition of some of our Stomp and Holler Gourmet Habanero Hot Sauce not only kicks the flavor into high-gear, but it also allows you to fine-tune the heat level. Want it on the milder side? Just a dash will do. Looking to light up your friends? Make it a tablespoon (or two).
However and whenever you choose to have it, we know you’ll love it!
